Measurement System Specialist

Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for a ‘Measurement System Specialist’ to play a pivotal role in both the development and manufacturing of our measurement instruments. In this hybrid role you will work closely with both our R&D team developing Process Analytical Technology methods and instrumentation, and with our Production team as a specialist who is able to identify, analyze, and apply technical improvements in the manufacturing process of our instruments. As such, we are seeking an individual with a keen interest in thoroughly understanding and investigating the hardware and technical/optical components, and with a strong determination to independently resolve technical challenges related to our instruments. Additionally, the role involves interaction with hardware suppliers and occasional travel. Affinity with and expertise in (Windows) software systems and installations would be highly beneficial for this position.

Most common activities:

  • Identify, analyze, and apply technical improvements in R&D and manufacturing of our instruments
  • Provide first-line support with hands-on and analytical troubleshooting for the manufacturing team
  • Assist customers and distributors facing technical challenges
  • Validate and test existing and new products
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of our products
  • Reporting, documenting and presenting your work within the framework of a quality system

What makes you successful?

  • Minimally a technical bachelor’s degree, preferably in Applied Physics, Electronics or  Mechanical Engineering
  • A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in a technical production or R&D environment
  • Experience with troubleshooting, root-cause-analysis and finding solutions
  • Knowledge of optics and fiber technology
  • Experience working with both hardware, software and interfaces
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting IT/Windows/Software
  • Strong team player with self-motivation, initiative, proactiveness, flexibility, and a problem-solving mindset
  • Fully proficient in spoken and written English

These things are considered a plus:

  • Knowledge of Chemical Laboratory Processes
  • Knowledge of analytical science and/or colloidal science
