Real-Time
Nanoparticle Size Analysis for
Process Development

  • Suitable for low to very high turbidity samples
  • Real-time particle size data in seconds
  • Inline, online, at-line, or offline configuration
  • Designed for lab, pilot, and manufacturing scale
  • Modular flexibility

The FIDES is a NanoFlowSizer system for continuous nanoparticle size analysis under process-relevant conditions. Using Spatially Resolved Dynamic Light Scattering (SR-DLS), it provides real-time particle size and distribution data without the delays of conventional offline workflows. It is especially suited to applications where turbidity is high, process conditions are demanding, and fast feedback is valuable for development, optimization, and manufacturing.

In development and manufacturing, obtaining representative particle size data is not always straightforward. Samples may be highly turbid, process conditions can change quickly, and delayed offline measurements may not reflect what is happening in the process when decisions need to be made. FIDES is designed for these environments, where speed, robustness, and non-invasive measurement are especially important.

High turbidity can limit analysis

Very concentrated and turbid samples can be challenging for conventional methods.

Offline measurements delay decisions

Manual sampling and preparation can slow feedback and delay process adjustments.

Representative process data is hard to obtain

Measurements taken outside the process may not fully reflect actual operating conditions.

Some processes require extra flexibility

Very high turbidity or smaller particles may require additional measurement options.

The FIDES is designed for applications requiring robust, real-time particle-size analysis across a broad turbidity range. It supports both development and manufacturing workflows and can be configured for inline, online, at-line, or offline use.

For those working with concentrated formulations, fast-changing processes, or scale-up environments, the FIDES provides a more representative alternative to conventional lab-only workflows.

Highly turbid samples

Direct measurement without dilution

Nano

The FIDES can be expanded with additional modules to match more demanding measurement conditions. The Online Micro Dilution (OMD) module supports applications with extremely high turbidity or concentration. Large Particle Detection (LPD) adds imaging-based detection for larger particles. PhaSR extends the platform for very low particle size and low-concentration applications when broader flexibility is needed within the NanoFlowSizer platform. The FIDES is supported by XsperGo software and can be configured for different scales and workflows, including GMP-compliant and OPC-UA-compatible environments.

Online Micro Dilution

For extremely high turbidity and concentration ranges where controlled dilution supports more effective measurement.

Large Particles

For applications where larger particles (>5um) need to be detected alongside the main nanoparticle population.

PhaSR DLS

For applications involving very low particle size or low-concentration conditions.

XsperGo software

Supports data handling, workflow integration, and GMP-compliant, OPC-UA-compatible deployment.
