Real-Time Process Control in Nanodispersion Manufacturing via Continuous Nanoparticle Size Monitoring
This study aims to showcase the viability of employing the NanoFlowSizer (NFS) for in-line nanoparticle size measurements as a Process Analytical Technology (PAT) method. The goal is to enable real-time process control by implementing automated regulation of critical parameters during manufacturing.
Integration of the NanoFlowSizer into both a High Pressure Homogenization (HPH) nanoemulsification process and a Turbulent jet Injection skid for continuous liposome manufacturing was conducted. Proportional-Integral-Derivative control was established utilizing a customized controller module within the dedicated XsperGo software.
